RapidPro
RapidPro is an open source platform that allows anyone to build interactive messaging systems using an easy visual interface.
Approach
RapidPro has been used for sending out health promotion messages, health facility reporting, supporting immunization campaigns. It has been used by national governments to establish cost effective communication and management channels with their entire health workforce. RapidPro is used by primary managers and administrators are national level public health officials and civil society organizations. Primary end users could be community health workers, mothers, health facility staff, general public.
Implementations
In 2021 through UNICEF support instances alone, 930 million messages were exchanged using RapidPro. RapidPro is used in around 116 countries around the world.
